Riverside Fire / Rescue
The Riverside Fire Dept. and First Responders is an all volunteer department. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality service to the Riverside Community and surrounding areas. The department is composed of 1 Chief, 1 Assistant Chief, 1 Deputy Chief, 4 Captains, 1 Training Officer, 1 Medical Coordinator and 23 Firefighters and First Responders. The department has 18 of its members certified to provide BLS service with First Responder or EMT-B certifcation. All Firefighters are FFI and Hazmat Operations certified. Riverside Fire / Rescue personnel respond to all types of calls including fires, medicals, motor vehicle accidents, hazmat, and technical rescue calls. The Riverside Fire Department is a member of the Washington County Mutual Aid Association and the Johnson County Mutual Aid Association. Meetings for department members are held on the second and third Thursday of the month with training on the last Monday of the month and some weekends. The department responds with 2 Engines, 2 Tankers, 2 Grass Trucks, 1 Ambulance, 1 Suburban and 1 Polaris Ranger.
